Step 1: Log in

Go to Reveltv.com and click “Login”

Enter your email and password, or create a password from the link sent to your email address, and agree to the terms and conditions.

Step 2: Understanding Channel Valet

When you log in, you’ll land on the “Playlists” Page. A Playlist is always linked to a Device - the screen where your Messages will play.

Inside Playlists, you can create multiple Folders, which are used to schedule messages for different days of the week and times of the day. For example, you can create a Folder where certain Messages will only play on weekdays and one that will only play on Weekends (on the same screen).

Remember: Playlists determine WHERE your Messages will play, and Folders determine WHEN.

Folders also determine what ORDER your Messages will play in. If you set your Folder to “PLAY ALL” all the Messages in the Folder will play before going to the next Folder’s Messages. If you set it to “PLAY ONE,” one Message from each Folder will play, then go to the next one in the next Folder.

Step 3: Adding Messages

Click the Plus Button on the bottom right to bring up the “Content Creation App Selection.”

We have many options for uploading Messages: you can add from a Library of your own saved Messages, upload new Messages, use our Content Gallery, YouTube Connect, Content Feeds, or even Custom Design Services.

a: Upload Pictures and Videos

Click “Upload Pictures and Videos” to add a file directly from your computer/device.

  1. Choose when the Message will play by selecting the Start and End date

  2. Check “Play Forever” if you never want it to stop playing.

  3. Give your Message a title

  4. Choose the “Content Zone” - if your file is Landscape, Horizontal, or part of a Layout, select the right orientation.

  5. Choose where your Message will play by checking the corresponding Folder’s boxes.

  1. Upload a file. We support .jpg, .png, .mp4. (The dimensions for images should be 1920x1080 pixels for landscape or 1080x1920 pixels for horizontal images. For .MP4 video files, the total bitrate should be under 5000kbps with a frame rate of 29.97 frames/second.)

  1. Choose how long you want your Message to play (8-12 sec is average).

  2. Save the Message to your Library if you plan to use it later, or just for safekeeping

  3. Click upload!

You can share your Message to Facebook, Twitter (X), or LinkedIn by logging in to your account.

b: Content Gallery

Click the round plus sign button at the bottom-right to open the Apps. Choose “Content Gallery.”

We have thousands of pre-designed Messages across various categories.

Search for the type of Message you want to create. For this example, we will search “Birthday.”

Use filters to see only the “Customizable,” and “Landscape” Messages so we can customize the birthday Message for a Landscape screen.

Click the pen icon under the template you want to use to customize it.

To customize a template, type in the dotted lines, and add an image/logo to the gray template boxes by clicking on it and uploading from your device. (Don’t worry if the gray box can still be seen, it will go away once it’s created.)

Title it, choose the date you want it to display, and which Folder you want it to play on and schedule the Templated Message.

Once you go back to the Folder you scheduled it to, you’ll see the Messages scheduled for the date you chose.

c: Content Feeds

Click the round plus sign button at the bottom right and choose “Content Feeds.”

Let’s click “Create a Newsfeed.”

Choose which type of news you want to display, (Sports, Technology, Business, etc.), and choose the Template you want to use, then schedule and choose your Folders.

Ten new news headlines will appear in your Playlist under a “Sports News Feed” Folder. Note: you cannot edit or add to News or Weather Feed Folders because they auto-populate.

d: Design Services

If you need a special template you can edit whenever you need to, just request one from our Custom Design Services in the Apps menu.

Fill out the request form with your details. You must have at least one credit to request one. You can buy credits by clicking “Purchase Credits” on the top menu.

In just a couple of business days, you’ll see your designed template in your library. You can then edit it and schedule it to your Templates.

Step 5: Monitoring, Troubleshooting, and Getting Help.

The Devices Page

You can manage your devices by going to the “Devices” page in the menu. Check here if a screen is ever not showing updated Messages.

Here you’ll see all the Players and TVs, and whether or not they are online. If they are showing offline they may need to be reconnected to the internet, restarted, or updated.

Note: not all device types can send content and health checks.

Getting Help - Live Chat and Help Articles

Click on the V logo at the bottom right of the screen to chat with a Live Agent if you have any questions. We also have a plethora of helpful articles to solve common questions.
