Introduction
This article will walk you through troubleshooting an LED display by rebooting the NovaStar controller and media player. This method resolves most issues.
Instruction
Locate the IT Rack:
The IT rack is typically found in the network room.
Find the NovaStar:
Once you have located the IT rack, look for the NovaStar controller.
The NovaStar controller spans the width of the IT rack.
Power Cycle the NovaStar:
Locate the power switch on the NovaStar controller and switch it off.
Wait for at least 30 seconds, then switch the power back on.
Verify the LED Display:
After powering the NovaStar back on, check the LED display to ensure it functions properly.
If the display does not start working correctly, repeat the power cycle process or try power cycling the media player.
Power Cycle the Media Player:
Locate the media player by following the HDMI cable plugged into the back of the NovaStar controller.
Locate the power cord on the back of the player.
Unplug the power cord.
Wait for at least 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back in.
Verify the Player:
Once the media player is back on, check the LED display to ensure it functions properly.
Ensure that the media player software has resumed normal operation.
